Content Permissions

Effective and last updated: 19 October 2026

Respect the people, sources, and communities behind knowledge.

Website material

Unless stated otherwise, original Institute text, identity materials, and commissioned website assets are protected by applicable intellectual property rights. Ownership and permissions depend on the material and the relevant rights holder. You may link to public pages and refer to the Institute with accurate attribution. The Institute name and monogram must not be used to imply endorsement, affiliation, or authorization.

Educational and other reuse

Rights and exceptions provided by applicable law remain available. For reuse beyond an applicable exception or an express license, request permission before reproducing, translating, adapting, distributing, selling, or incorporating Institute materials into courses, publications, products, or promotional materials. A credit line alone does not grant permission.

Third-party materials

Linked research, quotations, photographs, publications, and materials belonging to others remain subject to their owners’ terms. The Institute cannot grant rights it does not hold. Follow the license or permission attached to the particular item.

Stories, images, and community knowledge

Consent to a conversation or contribution does not automatically authorize audio or video recording, public quotation, display, marketing, or reuse of a person’s image. Oral histories and cultural documentation need an appropriate agreement addressing intended uses, attribution, access restrictions, and withdrawal processes. Sacred, restricted, or community-held knowledge requires attention to the relevant custodians and permissions, as well as individual rights.

Illustrative imagery

Some site imagery is AI-generated and used for illustration, including merchandise campaign models and the coastal heritage scene. These images are not evidence of actual staff appointments, participants, historical events, or confirmed destinations. Contact us before reusing Institute imagery.

Permission requests and concerns

Email hello@therealreturngh.com with “IAHH content permission” in the subject. Identify the material, proposed use, audience, format, distribution, and duration. If you believe material infringes your rights or breaches a permission, identify the material and explain your concern so it can be reviewed. No permission is granted until expressly agreed.
